Options SEAT should make available.

I’ve currently got a new Leon FR+ on order. I nearly didn’t pick the Leon because SEAT doesn’t offer some of the things I would have liked on my new car, even as an option. Had they been available I would have ordered them.

So SEAT have lost the value of the options I would have specified and nearly lost the order altogether.

So it occurred to me that we should keep a poll running that would allow SEAT UK to gauge the level of demand for particular features.

Hopefully if SEAT UK sees that enough new car buyers would pay for a particular extra, they will introduce it.

Please only post requests for something to be an option if you would buy a new Leon AND would pay the extra for it. I’ve filled in the options for the poll for the two items I would definitely have ordered, had they been available.

I’ve selected the maximum 25 options for the poll but left most blank for now. This is so that I can edit it to add options other people suggest in their posts.

N.B. The Quattro option assumes use of the parts from the Audi A3.

Quattro is currently only available for the 170PS diesel engine in conjunction with a manual gearbox, but not available with DSG. Petrol engines can have Quattro with either manual or DSG.

I only see 2 options on the list above.

DSG, quattro/4 wheel drive, LED DRL's, remap, LSD, uprated suspension, uprated exhaust should be available.

Leather and 19's should be an option on the LCR rather than paying through the nose for something some wouldn't maybe want.

When I click edit I don’t see how to edit the poll options.

Am I missing something or is it something I can’t do?

Is it missing because I’m a new member and don’t have full privileges yet?

When I started this thread I selected the maximum of 25 options, filled in two that I wanted and left the rest blank to edit in other peoples suggestions.

Now the blanks seem to have disappeared and I can’t edit the poll. If I can’t do it would a Mod please do the necessary? TIA.

Oh yes, I forgot the adaptive (radar) cruse control. I would have spec'ed that too.

Also, when someone has voted it displays the message “you have already voted in this poll”

If new options are added to the poll will those members who have already voted be able to vote for the new options which weren’t available when they initially voted?

quattro isnt necessary on the stock cupra/cupra r power level. All it does is add weight, add to servicing cost, makes it less efficient and emissions raise. You also lose boot space. And the biggest draw back being it would become alot less fun to drive, apart from the winter.


Id go for recaros, LSD, sports exhaust option and a better sound system.
