Hello,

I noticed oil some spots in my driveway and upon inspection I found a large oil spill on the left side of the engine bay, fairly high up since a pool has collected beneath the fuel filter. Despite a fair amount of oil, I can't seem to figure out the source. Which components or hoses in that area could be the culprit? See attached images.

The car is a Seat Ibiza 1.2 TDI 75 from 2012.

Kind regards! :)

Well I didn't check the most obvious one - the coolant container is full of engine oil, so this will be a fun one. It's way above max and the color looks off, so I should've checked ...

Cars been driving perfectly though, and some say if that's the case it might be the oil cooler and not a new head gasket. Can I be this lucky? Any other possible culprits?

I'm about to replace my oil cooler due to a leak that appears to be coming from there ( been losing coolant also ) , took old one off to inspect and think the main cause is the rubber gasket behind the cooler but going to change both to be on safe side, fingers crossed same for yourself
Part number for gasket is 03f115111a if you need one, eBay around £9, picked up a cooler on Amazon for £31
