Guys,

Had my car 2 weeks and I have been meaning to find out what DV I have on it as it's louder than any other I have had on my LCR's

I have now found it to be a Turbosmart valve. I have done some searches and got some info on the Dual Port etc and found it to be a good valve.

Thing is, mine is this one

The Supersonic Valve. I know all the gubbins about Diverter vs BOV etc.... but I'm not 100% on these Turbosmart ones as to whether it is just a BOV therefore needs changing ASAP!!!

. Car has been in mags and all sorts. Lovely motor, and not a penny spared so I would assume from that they must be pretty reasonable.

Alot of the guys run them on here mate, there meant to be a very good quality dual port DV

the supersonic is not dual port. The only ones u can get that are dual port are the "kompact" series and they also do a dual port which looks just like the supersonic but is dual port. aswell as some model specific ones for scooby etc. Without seeing it my guess would be thats the one you have its a huge valve.lol but a good bit of kit for just over £200

Thats a fully atmosphereic BOV so will need changing ASAP if you like your car. Obviously the previous owner didnt know or care much about the car or it wouldnt be on there in the first place.

You want a Turbosmart Kompact Duel Port (25mm) as its both atmospheric and recirc all in one

Had a good look today, and found that i do have the dual port turbo smart valve

Mine is just silver rather than black.

The second port was hidden, as it is fitted very close to the bulk head. May look at re-location

hhhmmm cant be the kompact one they dont do em in silver they only do black iirc. Must be the dual port version of the supersonic you got any pictures of it you can put up.?

I am going to relocate it later today to the cold side. Apparently it gets even louder may need to 'turn it down a little' lol

thats the dual port version of the supersonic. Thats the one i really wanted but couldnt justify the money for it. You will be fine running that one there ment to have some sort of sequential timing for quiet and loud operation depending on how hard you boot it had a look at mine and the recerc hole is slightly lower than the atmos hole so i think thats how they manage to do it.

Thats one off an EVO, Scooby ect....

Ry had one like this on his car and it worked well but wasnt as easy or as loud as the Kompact one i had on mine.

Id sell it on ebay and get the kompact version if i was you mate.

All the Dual Ports adjust the same way tho by increasing and decreasing the spring rate to make it louder/quieter
