back to the k03s running 260 how???
Perhaps we all think about usable power in different ways.
For me usable power is power you can use not waste.
People say a 370 BHP MK3 IC has usable power then I say can you accelerate hard without spinning the wheels even with very controlling mapping.
Usable power is where anyone could jump into your car and get the best out of it.
If your bird can drive it hard and fast, its got usable power.
If you have to have the reactions of a sparrow hawk to lift off......accelerate.....lift off.....whoosh....dump...change gear.....whoosh dump....change gear...**** coppers......**** hedge......
Not really usable power
There have been quite a few ko3s' that have made over 250bhp at the fly, Bill's Lupo being one i think.
To be honest i'm not convinced by the latest RR figure i got of 259 fly bhp. But saying that there were standard cars on the rollers that day that made bang on book power and a few that were down on power so you can make your own mind up on that one.
However the previous 4 RR sessions were all around the 250bhp & 250lb-ft mark.
I believe the car is the quickest ko3s ibiza mk3 at Crail's strip and that's what i'd prefer to gauge it's peformance on and I would say it backs up the 250/250 power claims.
what mods is it running to achieve that figure please could you list them im curiuos to know how lol
im guessing wmi and lots of advance ???
and is it mapped with a huge spike to get the large figure then no power up top??? or a smooth graph please post up
dont quote the lupo, which never got a real 250+bhp imho, only a happy dyno figure
its a more realistic 220bhp/250lbft
Ok, just going by what you posted up.
In the defence of said "happy Dyno" would it not give happy figures for all the cars run on it that day?![]()
i honestly cant see a ko3s pushing 260 even with bespoke mods lol
I dont think 1/4 mile is a good gauge of a high power fwd car on road tryes...
I dont think 1/4 mile is a good gauge of a high power fwd car on road tryes... which to be fair is what 90% of people run on.. Next to no one on here runs drag slicks do they else their times would be much much better (micky thompsons, etc etc)
were those figures on Craigs dyno Phil?
