The 18" or 19" or 17" is not the important part of this !!
I have just received a set of the Golf Mk4 Aero arms & blades and have measured the length & pivot point the distance from fixing pin/pivot to r/h/s of passenger blade on the standard Golf 19" blade is only 8 1/4" so obviously not centred,so unless smaller blades are off centred, this would not really solve problem.
I shall try and find out if the 18 & 17" blades are off or dead centre fitting.

Well it kind of is  the original is a side pin (not centred) and as per the reply sent to yourself below, if it's centre pin and shorter than the original then it won't fit but those are side pin so should fit :)

The WB-2 fitment is designed to fit the face lift Mk4 Golf as it has the side pin wiper arms.

I may just order a pair of 20/18 or something and see how I get on....other things to get sorted first though.

and domin8or - I've just realised what you meant after going out to measure my blades, the 19" ones are an inch offset where the 17" ones linked to look centred which would mean losing that extra 1.5 inches from the centre of the wiping area.

Hi Calum,

Thank you for your email.

All the blades WB-2 done by this supplier are centralised blades, not offset so feck all help...Back to the drawing board.
The bosch 19" Aero (sidepin type) is only 7.5 - 8" on r/h length, and still too long at that...

Anyone know exactly what size needs to come off passenger blade at r/h/s,to save me having to remove everything and then cut, would rather have it all done for straight fit.

The comments i have made apply to the Golf Aero side pin models only...Sorry for any confusion with aero blades on the hook arms...

No worries, it was my fault, got myself confused thinking side pin meant offset until I actually went and measured my passenger wiper and realised it is BOTH!

I do have them fitted but haven't cut them, the passenger blade sits about 2" up my windscreen instead. And yeah it was about an inch when I looked earlier. Will be gettin some new blades soon and getting the junior hacksaw out!

I just left the passenger one sit slightly up as the genuine blade the same as lee's and didn't want to cut the trim, I have only about 35-40mm between the blades in park position so no going to cut the arm

Fitted my arms & blades..Cut passenger side down by taking 1" off the r/h passenger blade end,not a major operation, only took 15 mins with a junior hacksaw, scalpel & some superglue..well worth the effort.
