That's the worry of Chinese cars whether they have the soft metal screws on them . Twisted quite a few heads off Chinese screws in the past.
Yes, they can be terrible. It's the same with bearings. Japanese ones, not a problem but we wouldn't touch Chinese or Eastern Block bearings as they wore out as soon as you turned your back. It's a wonder Russian stuff works at all.

Just to say, this confirmed to me that I needed to try new blades. Bought my Ateca FR Sport 3 weeks ago and have dreaded rain fall.
Each swipe of the wiper blades made a judder on the way up and a squeak on the way down.
I purchased the Bosch aero blades mentioned above and instantly resolved the issue.
I took videos but can't upload them, I'll add if I can figure it out.

And in case anyone is looking...
To put your wipers in to service position,
Press the engine start button (without foot on clutch), then press it again (essentially, turn the car on and off again.
Then push down the wiper control once, and it will bring the blades to the upright position and keep them there.
Then just pop the old ones out and the new ones in.
Once you restart the engine the blades will return to position.

Yes... service mode. I always swear by them... some don't.

My experience is that just about any blades will work ok out of the box. The difference is in how well they are working in a years time.

I've not changed my Bosch ones for a very long time at the front and never at the back... 6 years at the back, must do it. The front once - yes. The trick is to stay ahead of the dealer that puts substandard ones on at the service. It is an MOT test I seem to recall at the front. Change them when they stop working  ... the back they complain...
