With respect to the Iridiums, what do you make of this report (basically says iridiums run upto 5000 less volts than conventional plugs, put less strain on coil packs, are harder/last longer, burn cleaner etc...).

Is this just sales patter or is there any evidence to support their claims.

Well im not sure on that, electrical conductivity of Pt, Ir and Cu puts them in that order or conductivity. So in theory you would have to use less volts to get the same spark so i can see how that would work.

But according to real world testing the difference between all three of them seems to only be the price.

What mods were you running Bill when this happened? Cant see why they would damage your engine? But i dont know the mechanics behind it so would like to know.
