Car is back.

Here's pics of the intake manifold :

When I got the car back, my mechanics told me that the car got a high idle and not stable.
Idle was minimum at 1200rpm, and going up to 1800rpm! Like someone was playing with the throttle! A bit bad while driving.
When I got home, I got my laptop and plug VAGCOM to check. I do a throttle body reset! Get the fault code away and it work fine. My mechanics told me the when the EGR was plugged, it was acting funny, so it was disconnect!
I drove like this and I was at 760rpm at idle!
I got back home today, plug vagcom, eease the fault code, plug the EGR again, start and test drive, no faults codes! Cool!

The good things is, I use to have fault codes from the lambda (O² sensor), now, I got nothing back from the sensor! Looks like it's fine! I drove 100km (62.5 miles) so far, and nothing came back, usually, it come back within 30 km (18.75 miles) I cross my fingers for this!

So far, engine is smooth, and in mid and high rev, it feels more powerfull. On 4th gear getting in high rev, engine feels pushy! shifting in 5th, looks like I got problem getting really high.
I need a remap, but it's on the way. Without it, it runs okay, might run better after!
I'll keep you updated on this!

Heya mate, thanks for the info on the gauges. They look great! How did you get these pictures of this quality? Are you using a long exposure time?

You car looks great by the way! :)

Long exposure time it is! And my camera is an old Eos Digital Rebel, with only 6 millions pix. But it do good things! This is what I do when i'm bored!
Thanks for the compliments on the car! I got my varnish getting off my bumper (bad stuff on the early model), so it need a respray. But I'm gonna look for a full respray, but I need €€€!

Some news. I didn't came here in a while. Sorry, I was a lot busy at work, and I'm still am!!!

So, I got my remap done a couple week ago.
It took us time. First, it took 30 min to have the ECU read. Thanks God, it took 10x less to rewrite it.
We did a few test. At first, we were loosing HP instead of gaining (keep in mind we were working on an already remap ECU and not a bone stock one. We didn't find a stock one to work on better!)
So after test, and working to get a clean AFR, we finally get this

The guy doing the remap wanted to get the AFR a bit better. (the flat value is not torque but AFR!) Unfortunatly, when he try to rewrite the last version, the ECU didn't wanted to be overwrite. It didn't crash, but it didn't let us acces to it anymore to rewrite.

Engine is better feeling, and disposible. In 5th, I used to have trouble when pushing down (taking time to rev up and gain speed, now it's way better. Change might seems little, but you clearly feel it while driving. Even if I'm a bit poor compare to before, I still got flamme spitting in my exhasut line! :D

I got my EPC lights coming on the dashboard sometimes, especially under hard driving. Sometimes, after a 2 minutes the lights got on, it just cut (the butterfly close). So I'm wondering if it's the ECU trying to regulate the lambda mesure (but it cut and don't come back, I have to turn off the engine, and get it back on), or if the butterfly I got is faulty and I need to get a new one!!!
