finaly got the front mount fitted after having sat in my house for a month and half. car feels like it pulls harder to the redline now and most of all i think it looks the tits.

It's a THS core and the pipework was knocked up out of silicone from PSH, all in all it cost me about £400 fitted.

Awaits the *shoud of bought a forge* comments from the people who like spending mega amounts of money on here.

I dont have any pics of the pipework im afraid, it's basically the same as the pipework for the laguna intercooler (picture in "how to" topics) with a 180 degree bend at one end and a 90 at the other.

Looks well mint. What was the size of the intercooler you got from THS? much chopping of the bumper/other parts?

It's the 001, smallest one they do. Didnt want anything too big in fear of having joke of the week lag and a drop in boost pressure.

Had to rehang the radiator and lose the lower grille to get it to fit and thats all really.

looking well rob, one thing id love to know, why do people love to slag forge for their "expensive" fmics (the very same company everyone buys the aluminium recirc valves from), they fit first time, come complete with all the parts required including a replacement crashpanel if needed (leon cupra) and can be assembled within an hour or two of receiving it whereas a lot more planning is needed for the heinz variety ones which may not even give decent gains.
rant over, looks well as i said :)

thanks for the comments.

i just think the forge kit could be a hell of a lot cheaper than it is, but being a bit of a niche market they can sell them at that price because unless people want to go custom, they have no other choice for an off the shelf cooler.

Price of the recirc valve on the other hand is very very competitive, mainly because they have competiton with the likes of Bailey making the same product.

Dont get me wrong im not slating Forge at all, they done be a good deal on their TIP before and were willing to do discount for my friends who wanted them for their golfs, but when you look at the price of their intercooler kits for other cars the ibiza one is ultra expensive in comparison.

Forge is tried and tested and at the end of the day does the job well, but i think the job can be done at a slightly better price.

The reason is simple the price of the forge one is the problem, and custom intercooler can do the job and look just as good for a HELL of a lot less money

i really like it, it looks the nuts matey........not bad for the price if its working correctly.

from what you've said, you can feel a noticeably better pull so it must be doing its job, get some logs up bud.
