Carbon fibre spoiler update

Following on from the post I made a few weeks ago about carbon fibre spoilers, the place I linked the spoiler from is actually down the road!

So I popped down to have a look at the spoiler.

Here are a few "dry fit" iphone pics. The angle of spoiler is all wrong so it looks abit silly however it is adjustable. You get the general idea though.

Was extremely light and the gloss carbon fibre finish looked amazing. Now only if my car would stop damn misfiring!

Surely the angle of the spoiler can.be adjusted? If not try angled spacers or cutting.the.base plate at an angle Cus if you got that to fit at a nice angle it would be amazing!!!! And that's an understatement

also how much is that spoiler? If you don't have I may look.into it :p

Yeah it can be angled.

The brackets are shapped like this:

So the spoiler can tilt up and down via both adjustment points. Adjustable for downforce etc.

Right, spoiler has gone back today. Upon closer inspection the brackets don't allow for enough adjustment and the thought of drilling it on to my car made a little concerned.

Either way I will be fulfilling my carbon fibre goodness with one of these instead.

thats a real shame.
why dont it allow enough adjustment? it looks like just the front bracket needed loosening then the whole spoiler just leveling with the car.

Yeah I know. Basically the bracket wouldn't allow enough tilt backward so that the spoiler laid flat.

Looked really good though. Just rather unsure that the extra down force the car would receive could be supported structurally by the rear lip.

Did look sweet though :p

Pretty much, few butterfly clamps and if youve got some some tubing to cut up, you'd need some tubing too.

have you got a forge kit already?

I reckon you could buy the forge induction cone/clyinder thingy and the 90 degree bend, some clamps and some universal tubing and your away :)

Major bummer! :( Was looking forward to seeing that piece of kit on your car! lol

A safe bet would be to just get an OEM spoiler and colour code it. IMO the Ibiza really needs something to finish off it's rear end, that's why I got my FR done. Allso some sideskirts needed as they hide the nasty seams under the car and give it lots of extra sporty goodness! Will be getting a set of skirts for mine in a few months time. :)

I know :(

Wanted it to work so bad. Maybe the OEM spoiler in a few months time.

At the minute, I think the next mod will be lowering springs (H & R) to give it a nice drop. Then remap + induction kit.
