yeah they are not to friendly when tuned and my wife wont drive mine anymore

Had mine for over 5 years and was running normal mods to achieve 300bhp but for some reason in spring last year I ended up buying a larger 3071 garret turbo, apexi power fc, 740cc nismo injectors, z32, tomei cams, mhg 1.8mm, coilovers, 18" supra rims and now for some reasons I wish I hadnt, on track its brilliant but as a daily driver not so sure

anyway I'm at my first drift even at silverstone this sunday so should be fun :D

enjoy the golf, I may even start tuning the wifes ibiza :)

Jesus....with those mods mike id imagine you could push for 400 bhp!!!
Cant imagine that power, mine was quick enough at 295bhp 15psi!! Good luck with your drifting if you can master it, you will laugh and laugh it is brilliant, might even go back to a 200sx one day as they are such a lot of car for the money

500 to tank? I got 670 out of my 307 HDi and nearly that in the Leon.

I know its off the subject of this thread a bit, but what kind of driving do you do to achieve over 600 in an FR TDI?

were you driving arround everywhere at 30 mph? thats a superb MPG i cannot get any better than 450 to a tank out of my 307 HDI 110!!! There must be something wrong with it?? My tuned golf returns better MPG! I just thought the TDI was better than the HDI!

as for you getting 670 miles from one tank on your FR well you must be pushing it around!! lol Saying that I do have a quite highly tuned Golf and manage 500 to a tank most of the time so 670 is feasable I suppose...good result

You're all gay. My 307 was the 90bhp one.

I need 600miles minimum a week for my commute as it would do my head in having to fill up on a Thursday night for one day.

A lot of my miles are sat on the motorway at 67mph with my cruise on. I usually get over 50mpg over the full tank. Indicated is usually a bit out too so I calculate it manually.

I guess I don't feel the need to rag it about everywhere. I might be getting old.

I do enjoy the odd play with other cars though.

Editing your spelling
its all the usuals, style of driving, type of roads, weather conditions all effect the mpg so Andys route and style might be a superb one for mpg but someone elses trip to work wont be so good cause its hilly or bendy etc etc.....

and does the 307 have the same size tank as the leon, else you cant compare total to a tank.

I'm now down to about 400 miles on £35 of diesel. Got to the point where I now longer give a flying f*** :D Enjoy the fun of driving now. Still 42/45mpg isn't that bad

Agreed I dont really mind what I get MPG because I know its going to be good regardless of how I drive as I have gone from a petrol guzzler to a performance diesel and I just love the torque soo much its addictive I have to put my foot to the boards!!
The golf and 307 both have 55 litre tanks as far as I know
