Test drove the FR 170 diesel today.
I dont like the dash and the seats are too hard plus I couldn't adjust the seat so that it supported me under my knees properly, but then I am 6 2". Apart from that very impressed with the handling and the engine. It pulls really well from 2nd onwards, it feels to pull almost as well as the LCR. Easy to reach plod attention speeds quite quickly, and not too much noise from the engine when underway, hardly any wind noise which impressed me, but the road noise from the rear lets that down.
I tried to drown it with the stereo, but it isn't as good as the outgoing Leon, you have to have it quite loud to get decent bass, but then it muddies the mid so turn that up and it becomes to harsh to listen to comfortably.
I may go back and test the TFSI but the problem with the Dash, seats and stereo remain. I am not sure driving ability will win over the downsides for me.
