Has anyone actually removed one of these bits?? Since buying mine I have noticed that the previous owner must have had this fascia taken out, as the bottom left hand corner doesn't sit quite flush. The CD player is also slightly out at one edge. It's not a major problem, but the parts do creak slightly.

I had a fiddle with it the other day and it appears that the LCD for the climate is attached to it. I am wondering:
a) how easy is it to remove?
b) how is it held in?
c) are some of the fasteners likely to be knackered having been removed once (explaining why it doesn't quite sit right)?
d)How much would it cost to take it to Seat and say I want a new one of those that sits properly and doesn't squeak (or reseat the original) and can you straighten the stereo please while you're at it? I suspect it would cost a lot.

The plot thickens! Its the piece of plastic directly around the radio, storage hole, and climate controls but on yours it appears to be black. I've been in two and it matches the silver dash.

Na mate, on my pic the radio surround looks black, but its actually bluey silver, like the air vent rings, it feels solid though. just go to seat and ask for one off the facelift fr's
