Ive just bought my 143 2011 SE Tech with 30k miles. Ive had both my last 2 diesels remapped. And the mpgs werent really affected. How have you found the 143 has reacted in terms of fuel economy?

Ive been speaking to a couple of local companies, all have quoted ok, but 1 says the ecu has to come out. Has anyone else found this to be the case?

From what I heard from suppliers - cars between 2010 and 2012 are pot luck. Mine is a 2011 model, registered in 2010. Although APS in Brackley said the ECU would have to come out, the superchips bluefin did it fine without removing it. Same map BTW, APS website says they are a revo dealer but the diesel maps are superchips.

Hello, thinking of giving up my beloved Ibiza FR for an Exeo. At the grand age of 28, and doing lots of motorway driving I want some comfort now! My question is whats the mechanical differences between the 143 and 170? I would be remapping it immediately, can the 170 be remapped higher than the 143? If so why? Or is 170 plenty of power? Opinions appreciated cheers

I have the 170 it's plenty fast enough decent power good on fuel I was planning on getting a blue fin apparently the best because can be remove if selling it puts it up to a safe 198bhp apparently

Blue fin is on offer at the mo for £359, im so tempted. Im self employed so an afternoon off to have a map installed is an extra £100 to the cost! Do you get a choice of map from Superchips?

No you don't. Be prepared to have a locked ecu though which will need removing by superchips. You may be fine but always assume the worst :D

Just to add to the ecu thing, quantum tuning in Swindon said the ecu would have to come out, as did APS in Brackley. Sometimes the guidelines they have aren't accurate as the 2010-2011 models are a bit of a mish mash of ecus. My bluefin worked first time and the map was available on their system already.
