Even if you do believe the retail price - I’ve enquired about numerous models recently with “generous discounts” - and they’ve all been “cash only” prices, you can’t finance them without getting an awful interest rate or a higher retail price.

i think they have registered a lot of cars and these are dealer bonus cars they get kick backs from the manufacturers so heavily discount at targets, obviously if you need to finance it will be more expensive with a personal loan, i know someone who used 0% credit card deals to buy a car.

i think in 6 months time there will be a flood of nearly new used cars showing up.

i was offered a leon with 45% off at 5 months old before Christmas. The cheap money has gone and they are struggling now.

That's interesting. I've been looking at new formentors 333ps on Autotrader which have big savings and I've been wondering if you get them on the same finance deal as a factory order. I guess not then :(

That's almost as good as the discount I got on my Mk3 Cupra Leon ST from an online broker (supplied brand new from a franchised dealer).

Still very expensive even after a discount. Mine was about £25k from original RRP of £35k so slightly better percentage wise.
And about £9k less 5 years ago for a Cupra ST 4 drive. Prices have risen a lot!

Those prices are not fixed still room for more discount on that if pushed i guess.

Still expensive though agreed would need to be nearer 20k to peak my interest at under a year old for which ever model maybe the 2.0 204bhp will be better value.

FR 1.5 150PS, traded in an FR 1.5 130PS.
Just before Christmas i was offered a fr sport with pano roof and XL driving pack at 43% off pre reg 2000 miles

if a v2 or v3 turns up with similar discount in a few months i may be swayed. :D
