Had The Same Problem

My Leon had this problem, it actually requires an ECU software update - at least thats what my dealer done.It effects the VAG 105 bhp engines. See your dealer and tell them to update it.

Take it into your Seat dealer, as I bet there will be a software problem. They can update it easily, and it will not take long either.

It sounds like egr valve judder. Have done many downloads to cure this.

Did they change the clutch plate and release bearing as well??

I changed a flywheel recently for the same problem. Also changed the the complete kit inc release bearing. We thought at the time whilst the box was out best to change the whole assy. If you say the problem is still there, go back to the dealer and get tem to roadtest it with you.

My wife recently bought a Leon Stylance TDI with the 105 bhp engine and it seems to do the judder thing after cruising at about 50 - 60 then accelerating, for those of you that have had this issue, did the ECU software upgrade resolve the issue or was it the clutch issue, sound more like the ECU to me but your thoughts welcome.

Thanks in advance.

The software update solved my problem even though at first the dealer said none was available.apparently a pulsed signal was being sent to the egr valve but only sometimes and seat uk didn`t know why. hope this helps

Thanks a lot, I will contact my local dealer on Monday, hopefully they have dealt with a few of these issues so will upgrade the software initially to see if this resolves the issue.

I have the 105BHP PD TDI, after frw days noticed a njudder in 5th gear at 1500rpm and was very definate, they took car in and changed clutich and flywheel, no more judder, although i do no have a hesutation but only ehile doing very steady rpm/speeds and get a momentary drop/loss of power for a split second, cant pinpoint it though. I have a BKC engine on an 05 Toledo.
