ok i really want to but when i do that and somethings happens to the car i dont have any warrenty (i still got for 2 months) and maybe its gonna cost me alot of $$$$
but maybe stupid question. could that DV cause problems if i even dont give any throttle ? cuz it is doing that limp mode thing when i start it on a cold morning sometimes.
and is there some way to test that DV without removing those 1 use clamps? because i can hear the DV give a small whistle when giving throttle, and when shifting
Hi, you are experiencing the same problem that I have just had with my FR.
When you decellerate the waste gate opens to let out the pressure but sticks open, when you change gear and then apply the accelerator the turbo spins and all the boost goes out the waste gate as it is open.
My local dealer replaced the turbo under warranty even though the car is 4 years old, try your local dealer, you may be lucky enough to get a replacement as a sympathy claim, good luck!

Chhers, lucky I know.
I found the car in the UK by chance, some previous owner (64 years old) had the car from new, 4 years of dry motoring under 50MPH and its all mine!
Thats not nice, the reason you lose boost is because the gate sticks open, when you switch off the engine the systems all reset themselves, the gate closes on the turbo and it runs fine until it sticks open again, get a replacement turbo I beleive is the only way to cure it. Good luck.
I don't know, mine ran for days without a problem then the next minute after changing gear the gate stayed open and no boost, pull in, switch off and then hey presto, no problems again they are temperamental, I have heard of two other faults the same 1 on a Leon and the other on a Skoda Fabia, it must be common?
