n249 bypass

James I used to get the same noises on part throttle when I was running the spilitter but it wasnt really that great so I put the 007p back on and the sucking noises stopped.
Also when I was using the splitter I did notice quite a bit of oil depositing around where the blow off trumpet bit of the splitter is, is that a sign of quite a problem or just normal?

just bypassed mine now only pipe ive blocked up is the one that was on top of the d.v???? is this rite? ive looked on some eslawin diagrams and the black vac box doesnt connect to the n249 it goes thro a non return valve then the n249 so it should nt have ne reason to be block if am rite?? and aslo am i rite in sayin the n75 valve wont work now am gutted if not just bought a ecs race valve!!!!!! heres a pic neway.....

has anyone blocked of the pipe from the n249 valve on the BAM LCR engine.
all i did was disconnected the pipe from the n249 valve and connected it to the dv pipe on the top, not got a boost gauge so i didnt need to t piece it. and left the valve which was disconnected from the vale open. is this correct after reading some of them im a bit confused.

Sorry to revive a thread that hasn't been posted in for a while. But this seems the best thread to do it in.
I've just put a deposit down on a LCR with this bypass done. The engine bay looks the same as below:
Is this right for the two pipes to be unblocked and opened to atmosphere? In other words, is the photo I'm posting correctly representing a finished N249 bypass?

Yep that bypass looks fine, exactly how ive done mine ( but with boost gauge). Make sure your car comes with an oil cap lol.
Had my N249 on for a few months now and when had my custom remap done the tuner said put it back to how it was... only just got round to it this weekend and didnt notice any difference at all.
im thinking of putting it back too. dont like the stutter i get, and i dont hear my dumpvalve as much anymore 
I asked the nice bloke at Forge about this bypass when I had my car mapped, as I have always wondered if it would be bad for the engine (surely there is a reason for the ECU being able to release boost) and he confirmed my suspicions and said that they don't tend to get involved with this kind of practise as it CAN be bad for the engine... pretty much made up my mind whether to do it or not really!

ok, whats happened is the t-piece you disconnect to do the bypass has snapped off
and i am going to reconnect this back up but cant until i replace this the only problem is i dont want to disconnect the whole thing yet incase i snap the others off and the clips are a pain in the ass to get off. i dont want to take it off go halfords buy one then come back and fit, i just wanted to take it off and replace it straight the way, if that makes sense.
