Just wanted to know if there's a sticky for this had a quick look but couldn't find anything there used to be a good guide but pics had been removed any help appreciated all I've managed to do is remove the vac box on top of the rocker cover, block the pipes up from that and connect the DV to the boost gauge to fpr and to manifold nipple

Just remember sai delete will bring up the eml and will fail an MOT, I'm looking into this now. Knew it would but left it

I've been reading different things about it thought there might be a good guide on here ? I've read that by plugging the plate back in doesn't give you the elm light thought I'd ask the experts before I damage something lol

Problem is incorrect flow code appears out of nowhere because you removed it and the ECU knows this. A resistor isn't going to remove incorrect flow code

I have left the solenoid plugged in but relocated it to the firewall, I also have tried the resistor mod , it threw an eml but after I cleared it , it did not come back.
But then I have all associated plumbing removed as well as in I only have the FPR and recirc valve on vacuum.

I’m looking to do SAI and PCV deletes too and having the same problems.
Found a you tube vid but the guy is mall over the engine. ‘. Cut this ,cut this , cut this” too fast to follow and doesn’t finish each section clearly. Nightmare.
Hope I can find someone in the know down my way at some point. Going stage 2 and really want all the crap out.
Post on here if you get to the bottom of it all. I’ll be watching.

What have you done so far? Sai is easy, block off plate is needed but you can just disconnect it and pull the relay out and it's dead to the ECU. Relay is located next to the air box...well above it. Little black box..open it...relay is on the left...other is power to ECU so leave that alone lol.
Pcv delete...them pipes you see near the DV...little metal ones the guides say to block off with a n249 delete..lead down to front under the intake where the pcv is so unless your only deleting the n249 you don't need to block them as your going to remove them anyway.
Basically what I did was study the guides and took stuff apart...once you get in there it becomes clear.
Leave the pcv valve connected electronically to keep the ECU happy.

Cheers for that Andrew. Sadly I’m not in a position to be leaning over the engine bay for more than about 5 mins.
I have 2 degenerative discs in my lower back and just can’t lean in there for long enough.
By the time I’ve followed pipes here and there I’m done in.

Same as mate, lower back went in me 7 years ago...couldn't walk for a month, pee everywhere I'm telling you... bloody horrible.
But..what I do is start early, plenty of coffee at hand and basically become part of the car lol lean, lay whatever it be I get comfortable and surprisingly there is alot of space to lean on.
Took me ages to do the n249,sai,pcv,aircon spread over time, worst part is having it in bits and feeling the pain come in...no matter what it's going to be put back together that day so pain or not. Horrible but worthwhile saving labor charges.
Come to Peterborough for the day sometime, we can both look done in outside mine and get this stuff off.

Yup 6 years mine have been “slipped”
MRI every 2 years show that they’re not healing or going back in.
Christ even to do something like change over dump valves takes a hand full of pain killer and still I squirm after first 5 mins work.
Yes. Sounds like I need to pop up to you one day.
Couple of ‘raspberry ripples’ having a go. Be hilarious

I deliver white goods for a living so I can lift ect...it's the lowness of the bits so bending for a long time is bad for me. Thing is..4hr job is 8hr for me so is why I said the day. More than welcome to and I have plenty (and I mean loads) of 4mm pipe here for free. Only thing needed really for me was the non aircon belt £13 euro and £15 in the local auto shop for 19mm piping and a tee, clips ect and a block off plate £10/£15 of eBay for sai if needing that. I ordered one a while back of eBay and messed up so lost the money/plate so gave it a miss and valve is still on the car. Going to nip one day to jabba and get one.
You can buy the 19mm end can of eBay for £20/£80, I didn't and the elbow down near the oil filter may snap from what I read...mine didn't as I was very careful and when it was out I looked at it thinking you got to be heavy handed to break it but I did break the dip stick at a cost of £17 from tps for both parts. Jumper got tangled and snap, so brittle, was extremely lucky and happy it happened the way it did. I try and include the prices I paid so people know a rough cost. Is why I love the VW 1.8t and as I've found out the 1.9tdi...cheso to fix and easy enough to work on

No I don't work for Argos....I have adults and children running down the road shouting

AO LET GO!
