Used to be a renaultsport specialist tech. Not anymore, installation engineer for clean rooms and fume cabinets now. Got a few mates who did panel beating and engineering so between us we're pretty sorted.

That explains a lot! Looking forward to seeing updates on this :D

I kinda change my mind on alot of things. it was basically ready for paint, then decided to do the wide arch and rad relocation, on the basis of it'd need repainting if it did them after.

Its also because of doing things, then finding out that something doesnt fit, so have to work out a way around it. bad way of doing things i know, but it keeps me occupied, need to keep changing otherwise i get pissed off and walk away and leave it for weeks.

This is a cracking project mate. Top marks on doing something different and that hasnt been done before.. I would leave the cage the colour you have it, contrast to the white outside IMO.

Will definetely keep an eye on this as it progresses.

Very nice, I for one love frenchies :D

Fair play, looks like a hell of a lot of work but no doubt it'll pay off. I like the cage in red too, very GT3

Well, an actual update!

Forst of all, a sob story, or just my excuse for the lack of progress...

As sopme of you may know, i've recently not really had much interest, lack of energy so the clio hasnt actually been looked at, then after a few arguments with fern, my fiance and a few friends including russ noticing me feeling down, i decided to go and get seen about it. This resulted in me being diagnosed with severe depression and put on to anti-depressants. That was 3 weeks ago, And i'm happy to say i've made a great improvement, I feel alot better and all in all I've been out doing stuff, including getting back into downhill mountain biking.

But, now the car.

Firsly the turbo i'm buying against the K04 that i sold.

ANd tonight, I got my arse into gear...
Firstly, welded in the pasenger seat subframe, this has no pics, but it now means with a bit of scotching and panel wipe the front is ready for paint!

Then, i set about working out how i was going to mount the radiator in the boot. worked out i'd need a frame and then a way to mount that to the boot floor.

Went over my mothers and set out with the grinder :D

Good to hear your back on track with life and the car.

winters the worst, the light nights and sunnys days will bring a smile back to your face.

Well if that doesn't that big assed turbo will, lol

Very nice build, only one thing stuck out, home made driveshafts? I take it you have had them balanced?
