You were logging three blocks at once - this reduces the number of samples per second that VAGCOM/VCDS can take on each one, therefore your peak g/s may be slightly higher than you see there, but probably not as much as another 20 g/s. You should ideally keep the throttle pinned right until about 6500rpm, preferably in 4th, but that's going to need a private road or a runway ;)

Looking at your boost figures it seems the turbo has no problem making the requested boost and if it is leaking it's not doing so anywhere between the turbo and the MAP sensor, just before the throttle body so you may want to check there. As Sam pointed out though, mass air flow may be a bit on the low side, could be a faulty MAF.

Can you log blocks 001 and 031?

EDIT - sorry, never said before - nice car ;) Do like a tidy yellow one.

Did you get atw figures from the rolling road? I've seen some pretty wild transmission loss claims on here.

Lovely car by the way

Wouldnt get too hung up on the maf sensor figures matey, the apparent conversion to hp is just a massive approximation (basically how the scangauges and liquids predict hp too). Shoulda taken it further up the revs too, it would have got higher than that g/s wise I reckon!

This is not true. Gs figures are there to estimate the max power you 'could' make. Providing every thing is set up correctly and intake temps are good. Remember you need the right amount of air to reach high bhp. How can anyone make 300bhp if they only have 260 worth of air, they cant its impossible. My gs figures are 1 or 2 bhp out when logging on the rolling road so i would say thats pretty dam close but remember my car was setup and running perfectly at the time by a top tuner.

Haha i will have another couple of runs today. I did read to take it to redline but the old girl is getting on now.
My ic piping was my biggest worry but if it looks ok il go straight to the vac lines.

It is an approximation but it works pretty well so long as there's nothing wrong anywhere in the engine, turbo, sensors etc. but in this case since the user has RR figures showing in the 280's for bhp and the MAF readings fall a lot short of that it indicates there may be a MAF issue.

The other side of that though is that since the car is remapped, there are other ways of increasing the engine power output than just airflow and boost - timing advance for example. That said the difference between the RR figures and the MAF readings are larger than could be explained by stuff like timing.

Why do you assume the 280 bhp was accurate? Chances are the car was producing more like the 250-260 bhp in the first place and there is no problem. There could be a problem but you can't be sure of that just because of a RR result. I read one guy on here with an Ibiza RR'd at 240 bhp, except it was only 165 bhp atw. Work that one out.

If he goes out now and takes it to the red line and pulls 210 g/s then he's going to be within a few percent of the 271 bhp recorded at the second RR anyway
