Looks good, think I may have been getting in the 'proper' rally cars way in the corners, skittering around on road tyres....

brakes and wheels noww up for grabs. next event 20th Jan Croft again, Jack Frost Rally

brakes gone.....fast. holding the wheels for a friend of a friend. Anyway, cars now ready. G60 discs and DS2500 pads. OE cooling ducts. Suede steering wheel. New bumper and front panel (ho hum..) 15" rims on proper rally rubber. 1st car off at 0915 sunday coming. cant wait

it snowed. lots. wrong tyres (again) finished 38th, so nothing to crow about. 200hp totally wasted. car had a few 'rubs', including a 'medium rub' on the co drivers door (LOL) its always the co drivers side, funny that , isnt it?

Turnbull trophy, Tynemouth motorclub, Albermarle military barracks.
Near Hexham
£5 per spectator
80 miles of fast tarmac, very abrasive, very fast

Outcome... Albermarle...

Well it was all going swimmingly..............

4 stages down (of 8) Pair of new front 888's about finshed in 38 miles.

Credible 19th overall.

Then a funny transmission noise pulling away from the timecard collection point of stage 4.

Noise way too serious to ignore, had to retire.

Box out and stripped a week later (02a quaiffe 6 speed syncro, quaiffe diff) Looks like the mainshaft taper roller has failed, and also the diff bearings on their last legs.
By chance, no other damage. PTL......

Bought a CZM o2J for the lower 4.2 FD. Stripped it. New set of bearings and build best pf 2 boxes.
So a cheap fix , 200 ish...

Next time out? Probably Otterburn October
