MPG why i love my new car :P

My car seems to be settling down now after my remap in November. Getting on average 47mpg or 470 miles to a tank of fuel. I'm happy! The torque through the gears doesn't seem to be as harsh now, but floor it and it'll move!! Don't think I'll ever see figures in the late sixties or early 70's but have matched the combined figure of 56.5 quite often. :) Such a great little car...would love to get my bump sorted out and some coilovers to sort the ride out! Part from that GREAT!

Gettin tired of fuelling now, should have got a diesel.

dont go for a 16v then :)

lowest seen in the am 5.1 and current average (town driving) is 21.2

did see 38 once on a trip to blackpool but day to day work/kids/shopping i count myself lucky if i see 200 miles from a 45 litre tank

My petrol 1.4 sport dont get anywhere near that. I swear my car just somehow spunks 10 pounds worth of fuel in about 40 miles, although thats under high rev driving, it still seems a tad high.

My thoughts exactly, sometimes i'm sure the petrol just pours out of a hole just after i put it in!!

Lol you should try owning an Impreza - I swear I could see the gauge moving...

Get 450 miles out of the Cupra, 550 miles out of the Fabia vRS. The standard Fabia is a lot better on fuel around town too...
