mine used to be tucked down the side of the passenger floor mat, next to the transmission tunnel. It is now mounted in my boot; screwed to my reinforced floor that replaces the cardboard that comes as standard!lol

the trim there is only clipped on, so if you pull it off you'll be able to see what you are screwing into as a number of wires run down the side of the car there.

Danny - if you did have a cabin/'bay fire, it would seem more accessible to have it in the cabin don't you think? And if you had a petrol fire (heaven forbid) then surely the boot is the last place you want to go?

Although to be fair, if you had a petrol fire you probably wouldn't be hanging around trying to put it out with a mini extinguisher

I have thought about that; but it is just inside the boot in a quick release mount, so if the worst did happen i'd be on it like a shot! just hope it never comes to that!
