Hi,

Been looking at doing some cosmetic mods for my ibiza, just wondering if anyone knows of where to get the polo rear aero wiper one from. looked at pictures on here and looks so much better than the standard one. read on here that vag parts isn't goin anymore so was wondering if anywhere else does them

cheers

Polo rear wiper part numbers

CAP 6Q6 955 435B
ARM 6Q6 955 707C
WIPER 6Q6 955 425C

you need to trim about 6mm from the base of the cap

I think the Polo ones look odd with the short plastic bit and then the other bit sticking out the end. The facelift ones look neater imo. but each to their own :)

Polo aero wiper from the dealer, less than £20. Mine was i think 17 quid. and as said, you'll probaby have to trim the base of the cap, though some people havent had to(?)

does a great job, the standard wiper is appauling.

cheers mate. thanks. my car booked in this week hopefully cos boot doesn't open and cup holder sticks in cold weather. warranty job! so might order one then. thanks for the numbers and your opinions. saw the pic of the upgraded wiper for ibiza and imo its just the same wiper modelled on a banana! :D

all look better imho, i think id go the de-wiper route for the amount the facelift/polo would cost vers tha amount of actual use the rear wiper is. and the problems associated with the washer pipes frequently coming astray. how much of the pipework did you remove on the dewiper? or did you just blank off? also what size plug did use on the rear window and where from??

i'm pretty sure it was a 25mm rubber blanking grommet available from halfords for about £1.

I just blanked off all pipework inside the boot lid with rubber tape & removed the motor and arm etc.

Welcome jcskinny.

previous post was only 2 weeks ago, its not that old a thread :)

facelift wiper is just as bad at wiping as the standard one, theyre crap!

if you want a decent wiper get the polo one, i'm well impressed with mine. if you are more bothered about looks of the back of the car then de-wiper it its not worth changing to the facelift honestly.

opinion of course. if you still want facelift wiper, try search box the part number must be on here somewhere!

My facelift wiper works fine. If the bolt is done up too tight or the blade too old then they won't wipe evenly. Can't help you on the part number

Cheers guys, i just wanted to get rid of the annoying squeeking when it was on

i think i'll try a new blade then, my car gets too dirty to de-wiper it :D
