Sorry for bringing this up from old days but i'm on a ?????? now as i love the performance of the ibiza cupra tdi but after reading all these posts, on it's harsh ride and road noise i'm like &^%$^%$.

I'm getting old with 2 youngsters and looking for a second car(not my main one) for driving to work and picking up the kids from school.

I used to drive a Honda civic Vti with 16" and 215/40/16 tires and found it a bit rough but not that bad.

Is it really a boy racer car and not for a second family car?

Also would like to know the weight difference on the ibiza cupra and leon fr or cupra tdi if possible.

The ride quality is definitely keen to remind you it's a 'sports' setup lol

Most people whack AP or Weitec coilovers on them and they have a better ride.

The stock ride is ****ing awful to be quite frank and this isnt helped by alloys that weigh twice as much as any other 17" alloy ive come across.. have you heard of reducing unsprung weight SEAT?? No... oh ok then :censored: .

Ive got mine on AP coilovers now... and its better. But its not what i would call a family car.

So i'm i better of with the Leon on ride quality...??

I was leaning towards ibiza cause of performance and that's why i wanted their weight since on the net specs are all over the place.

mine honestly seems fine on anything but the shitiest of shitty broken roads, I've driven for hours and never got out the car feeling tired or broken

+1 im still on standard cupra suspension and i dont think its all that rough untill you hit a pothole but what suspension does like potholes im sure coilovers wouldnt like them to much either,i am considering coilovers still in the future.
