There is a soft almost faux leather material that has been embossed to look like carbon effect. I am concerned it might deteriorate over time but there is no plastic that I can see. The suede is very soft and warm and no creaking, and the leather bolsters on the side are much stiffer than the standard leather seats. I can get a pic of one later today.
That carbon effect faux leather material is what's on mine too but below that I have some elasticated material connecting it to the plastic base. I have all leather seats so found it strange that part wasn't leather until I read about the sides ripping as they have no give. Maybe the all leather made the issue even worse so they had to have this elasticated side?

I got mine today. Trip up to Stockport from Birmingham... great drive back, home for 11:30 and done a full new car protection with EZ Ceramic Wax.
Good thing is that EZ are based in Stockport so gave them a visit at the same time. Great stuff and it shinesssss :)
Blue ST's are definitely the tops!!!
Haven't been able to clean mine yet (as it's been pi55ing down) and it'll be spending the next week in Gatwick!!
However, youngest son will be coming over to detail it and ceramic coating..... suppose I'll have to let him take it for a spin...

Well, looks like the detour to Germany is nearly done with the Aquarius now scheduled to land at Grimsby tomorrow morning. Bit irritating that it's 3 days late but I imagine it wouldn't make too much difference with regards delivery to the dealers, can't see them work weekends doing collections.

Ah well, still expect it'll be here this month!

So if a car is registered In March but not delivered until April would it be affected by the change in tax?

To be fair if mine is not registered/ delivered until after March surely the charge shouldn’t be passed on to me if the car wasn’t delivered within the time frame from order.

It’s when the car is registered that counts.
Make sure it’s registered in March.
If the car is delayed beyond expected timeframe I would tell them you aren’t paying any extra as it’s their issue.

Yeah that’s my point, why should I foot the bill for their delay. It’s coming up to 16 weeks now, I believe Zen quoted 12-14 weeks, not sure if anyone can confirm that was the initial lead time?

Yep, I signed 19th Novemeber and was told early March. SEAT CS told me a week ago that my car arrived at Grismby on the 29th Feb. I rang them yesterday and they told me it was still on the boat (Aquarius Ace)!

Ordered my Cupra ST in blue 3 weeks ago. Got told last Friday it had arrived in country l, got told this Friday it’s being delivered to me this Thursday. Can’t wait

Order to delivery in just 4 weeks, for a factory build...that must be a world record! When others are saying 16 weeks plus waits, that is astonishing!

I really don’t understand it, if I’m honest. I wanted a focus ST and signed up to car search web sites. They emailed me back a few days later with a ‘suggestion’ and an offer that seemed too good to be true. Had to go go for it despite reading the experiences on here.

I understand the car was already built (standard build) and was awaiting shipping. I questioned the broker and he said seat are trying to hit their March quotas and as such offering crazy deals

I'm on 8 months and delivery next week fingers crossed. They only offered me £200. How did you manage to get that much! Need some tips! Lol

Mines a lease order - is yours?

Cheers.

No I’m buying mine

I had a few issues, caught them out on few things, asked for what I wanted and to top all the delays and issues off the dealers then lost my keys which added to it and I’m still badgering Seat UK for more as I’m not happy with dealers offer £150 for losing my keys,I’m now vulnerable to theft and 7-10day wait for key replacement and then rearrange delivery.

it’s just not good enough, they gave me a courtesy which turned up filthy and on the red I mean sums it up

I’m very very close to saying thanks but no thanks but the deal and the car are seemingly worth it

The woman that delivered your courtesy car wasn’t very impressed with the dealership either.

she said “yeah I turned up to deliver a Cupra and they gave me a dirty courtesy car, like wtf? I’d be fuming if I was him. Could have at least given him a different car, or cleaned the one they gave him”
