They are different if the mk2 has air con, they've got a stupid ridge right where you need to cut the master cylinder hole, Martin's 16v gti had this so we had to pack it out a bit but it all works fine

MK3 fans fit fine, im running mk2 16v non air con rad with mk3 cowl and fans bolted to it, had to chop about 2-3" off the cowling at the bottom as it's to tall but apart from that it fits straight on

If your running mk3 front end tho you may aswell use mk3 rad/fans as it will fit the front panel properly

Yeah heater fans etc all fit fine, if it's got a/c the heater box will bolt in properly, non a/c bulkhead means you have to loose one of the mounting bolts.

I could be wrong on the clutch part and the ridge but every mk2 with a/c i've seen has it

cut the holes today. all was fine. no bumps/ridges like you mensioned :D game on

got the wiring loom out of the cupra along with the engine.
mounted throttle pedel etc.

also gave engine bay another clean up.

put the black carpets in and it looks soo so much better than the grey it used to have in there.

just got to whip the coilovers off of the cupra r and i will be sending it for scrap.
then full steam ahead on the esate.

im also now putting the brembos on the estate. just for the jokes lol

im going to take longer over the conversion now than i planned as im gonna make it a show car i think :D

cant wait for 1st trip :D:D:D

Good stuff. Will the Brembo's clear your new wheels without spacers?

It'll be sweet with the coilovers on it sitting at a nice height.

I'm sure the guy that used to own it way back was called Yuc_R, think he was on t'other forum though! I also have a feeling it was traded into MK SEAT and the R ECU was swapped with a Cupra one. Chances are someone's remapped it since though as I'm sure it didn't have Billy's back then!*

Sounds like its going well, can't wait to see the finished product!

* I could be wrong, and probably am!
