Hi all
Hope someone can help. I have noticed over the last week when driving the car gets up to temperature on gauge and the will slightly drop between 90-80 degrees on a few times on my journey home which takes around 40minutes. I remember having this problem on my mk4 golf 1.8t and I resolved by replacing the coolant temperature sensor. I have read the ecu and no fault codes. I know this code be thermostat but does the cupra have a coolant temp sensor as I couldn't find the part.

Most likely the thermostat gone, mine was doing the same recently so replaced it. There is a temp sensor located just below the thermostat housing

Not that I've seen, but it's alternator off, and throttle pipe to get access. Takes around 2-3 hours to do
