List of jobs for SpringFest:

1. New track rod ends
2. Tracking
3. Paint and fit new grille (old one snapped when I removed it last time)
4. Re-fit front bumper (one side has come unclipped)

So, one track rod end was done today. The other side is not moving off the track rod, so it'll have to go to a garage to get heated up.

There's always a few jobs to do.... Did you get a buyer for yours then?

Indeed it did sell, took a deposit (as they requested to secure it) booked it in to have the work done and then they rang saying they could'nt have it anymore and that they don't want the deposit back as they messed me around.

So i have a GTi with the work that needed doing almost paid for by their deposit.

Bizzarre doesn't even come close to describing it all

It maybe a sign for you that you have to keep it for a while longer.

Update:

Track rod ends: Done
Tracking: Done

Paint grille: Had a kiwi grille I bought from the 'bay. I also had a bottle of Nitromors which claimed to be safe on modern plastics (and I quote) "such as ABS". The said Nitromors was applied (generously), and as it turns out, it's NOT safe on ABS. Arse.

So, anyone got a facelift grille to sell? :)

Re-fit front bumper: Done.

No, I can see the funny side. In future, when a label says "try on a hidden area first", I'll take heed!

Took me an hour to separate it from the slatted grille too
