Yep :) Backs are done, but......

Managed to round the slot for the 7mm allen key today. Bugger. Off to a garage to have them buzz-gun it off.

True. The backs were actually pretty easy.

Irritating that one top mount came out OK, fallen over at the last hurdle! Will put it all back together again in the morning.... hopefully some good news by this time tomorrow!

Done :D

Despite shearing a wheel nut when putting it all back together. This car is so ungrateful!

Just needs wheel alignment and a clean, then I'll get some more photos up.

Here's a before shot, for comparison:

Hehe, it was already on photobucket from e38 this year. I can't believe I took the second picture and uploaded it!!

Still, at least I know how much it's been lowered by - a beer can minus a coke can. That's how much! ;)

Needs new tie rod ends before the tracking can be done. Debating whether to go the whole hog and change the lower arms, ARB mounts etc while I'm at it.

It finally happened, the tractor is gone!!!
No way!
Sounds like it wasnt the easiest job in the world either, but glad you done it??
Next step is Wheels.
Tyres are no excuse, can get a nice set of 15" rm's and transfer the tyres over.
They hold their money well at the moment too, so you wont have to worry about making a loss when selling up :D

I knew you'd be onto me about wheels before long :p

If I do get some new wheels (badly needed, I know, I know), I'd be looking at something a little less expensive :(

Firsty I have to the tie rod ends. But do I go the whole way and do arms, ARB links etc while I'm at it? At the minute I'm thinking yes....

Depends if there is anything wrong with the rest of it and how much more it will cost?
If you are selling it in the next 12 months then I wouldn't bother if it doesn't need doing. You spend £100 plus on doing that and you wont get anything more for it if you should come to sell it in a years time
Then use that cash to buy some rims :D I will find cheaper ones
