Hi

I have owned me leon fr for a month or 2 now and have fell in love with it.

with 90,000 on the clock full service history and been well looked after I couldn't refuse it after a test drive.

Straight away I knew what I wanted it to look like once I have finished with it.

my first few plans for it are

Lower by 30-40mm
change of alloys
full miltek exhaust system
egr delete
front mount intercooler
upgrade boost pipes etc..
thinking about a stage 2 map
upgrade clutch
panel filter
brembo brake uprgade

im sure many more mods will come along the way but I plan on keeping it looking clean and not to over the top.

I have had all belts changed along with water pump and a full service .. just for piece of mind.

so far I have replaced the fr alloys with some cupra r alloys refurbed in a lovley merc silver colour and 4 new tyres. bought some FR mats and wind deflectors and also have the cupra r brakes to go on along with brand new drilled and groove discs.

Pics to follow and I will update as much as I can.

Mick

Just a little update

Car is currently having a custom stainless steel 3" turbo back exhaust system made which will be ready within a couple of weeks. Also been offered a good price for a stage 2 remap so will be investing in a decent air feed and eventually get round to putting my brakes on!

Also put my private plate on .. will upload pics v.soon

:)

TDI?

They don't like stage 1 maps on standard clutch so stage 2 will 100% kill the clutch so be prepared to buy an updated one or wait and get it done first

Bit of an update fellaz, its been a while

So in a nutshell i have had the following done.

2.5 stainlees steel exhaust fitted with dpf removal and 1 silencer .. sounds amazing, quiet through the gears but put your food down and it sounds a beast!! Very impressed.

Front brakes and calipers have been fitted (rears getting done in next couple weeks)

I have just purchased a full set of audi s3 heated leather recaros in really good condition, these will also be fitted in the next couple weeks. Will get them wired up to a switch, should look good.

Also waiting on my new shocks and springs (lowered 40mm) which will be fitted along with the rear brakes.

Slowlet but surely im getting there. Next on the list is a coulple of gauges, boost and oil temp along with a LCR front bumper (think i have sourced one for a decent price)

Pics to follow. Cheers

Im going to let the pics do the talking.

Basically had my tints done, fitted my seats and used me autoglym goodie bag to give it a clean. Never hot round to polishing it but the shine is still immense!

Just need a cupra r front bumper sorted (been let down on a previous one) and i will be happy looks wise.

Would really appreciate some help with the engine mods. I dont know where to start lol. I wanna go stage 2 so where would people reccomend to start?

Cheers
Mick

Before you map it id save for an uprated clutch and flywheel kit. Heard the standard one cant take the power

You don't necessarily need an uprated Clutch/Flywheel set up. It depends what set up your going for....

Mine is stage 1 running 194hp / 302ft. It was remapped on around 60k and lasted until 120k on the original clutch. Its since had a standard Sachs unit fitted and still going strong at 167k.

If your going down the Hybrid/Bigger turbo route, you will need to look into an uprated set, anything over 210hp really.

Good work on the car! It come a long way already!!

Im not looking to upgrade turbo just yet, ivd been told a stage 2 map would see about 200bhp maybes more, do you think standard clutch will be ok? It had a new one fitted before i bought the car aswell. Also what about intercooler boost pipes induction etc..?

And cheers, ive got a cupra r front bumper now, just waiting to be painted so hopefully fitted in the next week or 2.

I would suggest just going for a Stage 1 remap until you can afford a Turbo set up. I don't know what the standard Turbo's max out at but it won't be anymore than 210hp i wouldn't have thought.

Stage 1 remaps tend to see anywhere from 185-205hp / 290-320ftlb anyway, then youl be looking at 220+ from Turbo options aswel as a load more torque.

Clutch will be fine on stage 1. Id say over 210/320 youl need to upgrade.
