Does this happen to anybody else??

And if so WHY and HOW do I get rid of it???????????????????????????:banned:

I wonder if you've got a leaky rear washer jet - feel the carpet in the boot on the left hand side just under where the boot courtesy light is. If it's dry there, try down in the front passenger footwell just to the front left of it.

It`s just the cold, damp weather. My car does it too, especially after a rain storm or on cold wet mornings. It`s the differenice in the temperaature in your car and that outside of it. Condensation.

I do think the Leon's and Toledo's steam up more than a lot of other marques. Basically come the colder, damper weather having the climate on becomes essential.

I would still check those places just to be sure - mine doesn't steam up inside at all ... the only time it did was when i had water ingress.

Although if your car has filthy glass on the inside ( traffic film is a culprit here ) it will do it too.

When i was a chav and 17 my civic did this SOO bad when we was all driving round all night.

The Solution first was BIG coats and the windows open :)

Then i had a break though..... Clean your windows then.. ready for i... Get Johnsons baby lotion (pink moisturizer) and rub it on you windows leave it for a min then wipe off. Didn't mist up at all :) repeat once a week (or as required).

How how did i find this out. Well i got some on a mirror in my bathroom wiped it off then had a shower. There was a round spot on mirror with no steam.:funk:

Then like Archamediese i ran naked through my house out to the car. Got really cold and put some clothes on :)

Some of what you're on please ..

and newspapers to clean...... didn't they do that in WWII

I use a degreaser we have at work called spectrum, smells of Oranges and is a Blanket/Roller wash, works a treat and good for cleaning your alloys too :funk:

.

I've got some RainX anti-fog stuff which is 'supposed' to stop it....

not tried it yet though as the windows need to be cleaned properly first and I've been too busy!!

I'll try and do it this weekend so will post back how I get on!
