Electric folding mirrors was added to the standard spec of Ibiza SE, Good Stuff and Sport at the start of Model Year 2011 build. Your car must be a Model Year 2010 vehicle (the first Good Stuffs were produced in MY10).

Likewise factory Bluetooth was not part of the spec of the original Good Stuffs so the Nokia kit is part of the iPod/TomTom bundle.

So I finally get in touch with the manager yesterday as I am still waiting on a response about the 'folding wing mirrors'. Plus I still haven't recieved my ipod/tomtom/blue tooth package!

All he can say is that the package was sent directly from Milon Keynes and is still waiting on news about the mirrors. I was told I would get the package within a week of buying the car. Its been two weeks now but what's really cheesed me off is the lack of communication from the dealer, promise after promise from both managers that they will get straight back to me when I've phone each day and drove to them twice about the problems. They obviously don't care about after sales customer service. I was willing to have my services done there and maybe buy another model in 4-5 years time, that is now not the case.

My advice, stay well clear of Arnold Clark in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Finally getting somewhere...I've recieved the ipod/bluetooth/satnav package, they had to order another and got it fastracked with DHL!

They have said that the car SHOULD come with folding wingmirrors so they are going to write me a cheque for compensation, yay. I can live without the electric folding wing mirrors so what amount should I expect. I found that some cars can be retro fitted with electric mirrors and that cost around £100 each so I was thinking aound £250 (added 50 for the aggro)

What do you think?

Unfortunately the folding wing mirrors were only a £50 option before they became standard fit, so I'd be very suprised if you get £250 out of them. Even though the would probably cost nearer that to retrofit.

Ibiza Good Stuff

I've took delivery of my 60 plate Ibiza today and the same options are missing what can I do? (showroom model does have them) Just thinking they will fob a woman off if I go in to the delearship and try to explain, hubby is working away and I just don't know what to do. Really feel they have took advantage of me thinking I would not notice.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

going down with my daughter tonight to collect her new car. From my point of view it better have integrated bluetooth and folding mirrors or I'll be rejecting the car.

Just because a dealer puts "spec may vary" doesn't waive their obligation to deliver what they have sold you.

Regards,
Neil.

Totally agree, if you are expecting spec that is listed and you don't get it either reject it or get it in writting that they will retro fit those parts

Thanks Neil, SC16v. I've arranged an appointment with the manager tomorrow, will keep you posted.

Really regretting buying the car now, buying a new car shouldn't leave you feeling this way.

Hey guys picked up my new good stuff today came with intergrated Bluetooth and got the nano and tom Tom with the car. Through the whole process of buying the car I never saw anything that said it came with electric folding mirrors. My mirrors are electric but not foldable.

missing items

hi everyone,

im new to the forum and have just recieved my new seat ibiza good stuff car today,
mine is the 2011 5 dr model, did order the 3dr version as this was shown to me at the showroom and i was sold on the car, it had folding wing mirrors, bluetooth on the steering stalk, tomtom, ipod so i brought one.upon payin the rest of my deposit my car was ready in the back of showroom ready for me to pickup on the 1st sept, had a look around it and noticed it didnt have phone symbol on stalk, the sales rep told me it didnt have bluetooth built in and i would be getting an add on one, so wasnt impressed then after complaining i asked if it had folding wing mirrors, nope it didnt so i told him the one i had looked at had all of them, he told me they only did them on the 5dr model and that all the 3dr models were 2010 models, so i told him i wanted the 5dr model then and that i had been mis-sold a vehicle. he ordered me a 5dr, on leaving the show room i spotted the vehicle which i had looked at the first time and what a surprise it was a 2011 3dr,he then told me he didnt know we had one and that one must have been a mis-labled one as it had ecomotive badge on the back, showed him the brochure,it says bluetooth on stalk/ folding wing mirrors, nothing about only on 5dr, so after all that, i got me a 5dr with all items listed as standard and a nice colour coded rear spoiler free for my troubles, sorry it was so long but hope you all get ure cars sorted.

Picked mine up this morning and car has everything including integrated bluetooth and folding mirrors.

Also got the ipod and sat nav and also the lead which allows it to charge and integrate with the controls which I wasnt expecting.

mentioned this forum and that some people are missing the Blutooth and the Electric folding mirrors and sales advisor as others hadve suggested is the 2010 model. Dealer stated that they did have trouble in finding me the car in the colour I wanted as they wanted to source the 2011 model.

yup my daughters car was perfect, had the integrated BT and folding mirrors. I think some dealers have been caught with old stock...

I didn't realise there was a difference between the 2010 and 2011 models. I have just ordered a 3 door Good Stuff. They didn't have any Good Stuffs in the showroom because they'd sold their stock but I did test drive and look at the 5 door SC sport which I loved but I wanted a 3 door and all the extras of the Good Stuff because like lots of you I really need the blue tooth system. I was given the brochure and the technical spec (as on the SEAT web page, as a new user I can't post the link) states that standard equipment includes folding wing mirrors, bluetooth with steering wheel column controls.

Must admit I'm a bit worried now that I could end up with the old model. Can they do that?

In the brochure it does state specification may vary.

I would wait until you see what you get but check the you have the bluetooth and that the mirrors fold (should have a symbol on the dial on the driver door) before you accept the car and if it hasn't bring it to their attention and ask them what they are going to do about it.

If need be get something in writing stating that they will rectify it of offer some compensation before you accept it. I was all ready for an argument yesterday when I picked mine up but didn't need to as everything was there. Even the lead for the ipod which charges and integrates within the steering wheel controls which I thought I was going to have to buy separately so dont worry too much until youve seen the vehicle.

Another update I've got electric folding mirrors which I was told that I wouldn't have. Also when turning the steering wheel a light comes on in the direction the wheel is being turned, does this mean I have the adaptive lights as well or whatever they are called ?
