MAF Replaced and its no different. thats another £65 wasted. so far i have spent £202 trying to sort this problem and nothing has happened.

the day i bought it i knew nothing about these cars. it was running on "limp mode" all the way home. i didnt know any better so thought it was normal till the ECU light came on the next day. since then iv been having this problem.

just a bit pissed really as i was told that NOTHING AT ALL WAS WRONG with the car then i get in to drive it off and:

the seat mechanism is broke,
the wipers are stuck on,
camber is way out,
tracking needs doing,
rear window heater switch needs replacing,
big fag burn in the rear seat
washers dont work

ABS pump is broke (i saw the light on and was told it was just a sensor gone)

did you reset the ecu?

if not reset the ecu, then take out the plugs make sure they are clean and try again.

Also have you cleaned out the throttle body?

Whats the air filter like, is it clean?

dont think its the throtlebody mate. cleaned the air filter out two days ago. i have reset the ecu. left it unplugged for 30 mins.

plugs are brand new 2 days ago so will be fine.

just so mad as i was expecting a reliable car that i wouldnt have to spend on all the time. spending is all iv done so far! now i have £30 to last me till Feb 15th!

Have a look at those links, they are popular faults on that car. There is something about a switch on the airbox causing misfires. To be honest youve done a lot of checks etc so youll figure it out.

If youve replaced anything that works ok you could put the old one back and sell the new one on?

yer they post parts out mate.

its not just the odd misfire mate. anything over kind of 9-11psi and the only way i can describe it is the car sounds like a loud drum roll.
