MirrorLink/FullLink

I'm a little confused with what connectivity the latest MY16 spec Cupra has as standard on its media system plus/navigation system. Does it include MirrorLink as standard or do you only get this with FullLink along with ApplePlay/AndroidAuto?

Has anyone used MirrorLink/AndroidAuto and is it any good, is it worth adding as an option for £150. Can it be added/upgraded later via a software upgrade?

Not sure I would ever use it but you never know what apps may come out for it.

FullLink is basically CarPlay, MirrorLink, and Android Auto all under one name.

The only people here's with it at the moment are those who purchased the SatNav High system.

If you don't order the FullLink or SatNav High you'll get the newer standard SatNav which you can connect your phone to for music streaming only.

I doubt it's just a software update to enable it if you don't order it.

Given that Android Auto/Apple Carplay etc are designed to use the phone apps incl forms of Navigation its a pity you have to buy the high priced nav first then not use it???

Pity they don't allow full link on the Std Stereo.

In my country (Bulgaria), you can order the FullLink as an option to both the standard Media System, and the extended one. At least that's what mentioned in the pricelist. Could be a mistake though. What's funny is that CarPlay and Android Auto are not supported in Bulgaria but at least SEAT have mentioned it :D

It might be another pricing quirk. On both DTD and Carwow Full Link is available without the need for Sat Nav High. The Seat configurator required Sat Nav High to be selected.

Not sure because the original MY16 pricing PDF that leaked out specifically says "Includes compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Requires Navigation System"

I've ordered Full Link with mine, along with the Tech Pack that's required. I've yet to see a built in navigation system that's all good as Google Navigation. That's why I wanted it as I use it ask the time and love the interface

Can anyone confirm then from any recent MY16 delivery that Mirrorlink comes as standard as a part of the "free" Tech Pack offer?

Also what can you do with Mirrorlink? Can you for instance voice control music from your phone?

As standard? No.

The tech pack will get you the MY16 SatNav system but it doesn't feature any MirrorLink. You can add it as an optional extra. Or you can purchase the SatNav High which has FullLink built in.

Hey , why does my full link have only mirror link ?
The 2015 model year (MY2015) like I used to own only had Mirror link, from MY2016 (June 2016) on it was improved, I missed it by about 4 weeks
was May 29TH 2015 onwards build date off the top of my head, it went from MIB1 to MIB2 units i think!
