milltek knocking...

I had a milltek cat-back system fitted a couple of weeks ago and ever since then it's been knocking in various places, mainly up-front.

Took it back to the place that fitted it and after a couple of hours adjusting it here and here we found the only way to reduce the knocking is to have the exhaust offset at the rear so the tailpipes are over to the left.

While this reduces 90% of the knocking it still does it occasionally (mainly when pulling away uphill) and obviously doesnt sit right out of the rear bumper.

Has anyone else had any issues with Milltek exhausts? I'm really disappointed by the fitment. I want to mate the system to a blueflame DP and cat next month using a reducer but am concerned whether I'll be able to get these fitted without any knocking and lined up correctly. The car isn't lowered.

Any thoughts/input appreciated

Mine fine? I had an issue when i lowered it with the rear beam but managed to bash the exhaust when it was glowing hot and havent had an issue since...

I've heard of some people shaving a bit off at the CAT end before

Speak to Milltek mate, theyre so helpful

Clamps rusted on my Milltek system and i didnt even buy it as it was on the car when i bought it, i emailed customer service, the next day a bag of clamps was on my door step free of charge

Was very happy indeed!

i had the exact same problem when i fitted mine... luckily i was at uni in nottingham at the time and their reseach and development shop was about 10miles away!!

i took it there and the cut one of the joins over the rear beam and re-welded it... been absolutely perfect since!!!

free of charge too!!
