Afternoon folks

I’ve read a few conflicting forum posts in relation to oil.

I’m looking to service the car this month and want to use Millers Nanodrive Oil.

The car is stock(ish) at present but will be getting a remap within 8 weeks. It is a 2015 Cupra 280 ST.

Should I be using 5w-30 or 5w-40 NT+?

Any advice appreciated.

I'm sure the MK3 guys will jump in. In the meantime... traditionally the MK2s ran on 5w-30. However, the MK2 engines tended to vaporise the oil and we'd need to top up every 1000 miles or so. Remapping made this worse (hotter engine). So many of us switched to 5w40 to cut down on the oil usage. But also to point out... I switched to Castrol 5w40 and guaranteed after a 50 mile plus round trip, I'd have burnt some oil. Since switching to Millers NT+, I've not had to and it's had some beatings.
