Just wondering how fast the Cupra 300 4Drive could go if the limiter was removed? Not planning to do mine but was curious. If I had to guess I’d say about 165mph
views?
That's because the speedo isn't accurate and isn't showing a true speed, when it does hit the limiter the speed will be 155 not what the speedo is readingYou’ll find that most of them are already delimited. Even though it’s told that they are limited to 155mph, there are plenty of videos on YouTube showing cars way in excess of this.
I have a friend with a 66 plate 290ST who says he hasn’t had it delimited and I’ve seen proof of it recording 169mph.

They are limited to 155mph actual speed no speedo speed, they are all limited unless its been removed, they all receive the same software why would some be missed? Say its out by 10% so at 27mph the speedo is reading 30mph which they normally are, 10% on 155 would be 170 on the speedo which is what people have claimed to seeSo they're limited to actual and not speedo 155 mph then? Or not limited at all?
Makes sense. Seen a clip on YouTube of a guy in Genrmany doing 250kph (GPS) which is exactly 155mphThey are limited to 155mph actual speed no speedo speed, they are all limited unless its been removed, they all receive the same software why would some be missed? Say its out by 10% so at 27mph the speedo is reading 30mph which they normally are, 10% on 155 would but 170 on the speedo which is what people have claimed to see

There's a couple of limiters hidden away in the ECU (the one below for example), you can see them in VCDS.
Might see if I can borrow a stock Cupra/ Cupra R or even Cupra Ateca from SEAT Press this week to see if any of them have it installed using VCDS or will take a ECU data dump and see if I can see it hidden away in the HEX to see what the exact figure is.

183mph GPS? I had a fair few runs in Germany with mine dont think I ever got that high though. Maybe 178 on the clock. Ran out of road most of the time.
By the way Stage 1,2,3,4 etc wont increase top speed as such as you are limited by gearing although increasing the rev limit slightly will, just means you get there quicker.
