If i by pass the N75 and do some logs, that should be able to tell me whether or not i have a leak around that sort of area would it not?

bypass the n75? u mean the n249?

Remove the MAF from the housing, and use solvent cleaner, isopropyl or carb cleaner wynns from halfords, give it a good spray from all angles, allow to dry, reconnect and voila!

You could check your N75 load on vag-com, use 115 i think it is :)

I saw 155max when i was revo'd :)

Just realised can i actually bypass the N75, is it the N249 that you can bypass, or can you do both?

Help, please :(

i dont think you can bypass the n75, you will hit limp.

n249 is easy to do, but not really worth the hassle IMO, im gonna put mine back on to stop spikes.

So where do i start with checking for leaks, i recently replaced a few vacuum hoses with yellow stuff.

all of the vaccum hoses, intercooler hoses, there is one in the passenger wheel arch liner.

Theres loads of little hoses in the top, the main ones are the ones that come from the top of the dump valve, do you hear any chatter/fluttering when the valve goes off?

Check the pipes which connect to the underneath of the Inlet manifold also, i had a kink in one of mine.

And finally, check the vaccum resovoir on the top of the engine, the connections and all the wiring on the sensors.

:)

Hope this helps

I've replaced the two hoses from the inlet manifold, i just looked with a torch and i couldn't see any damaged hoses at all, it is getting dark outside however.

Grr!

Dont say i never do anything for SCN members ;)

Its deceiving, check the above hoses, even though they may look ok, they perish :) mine were falling apart when i took them off, black bits everywhere!

Right, my method of attack is as follows..

Check vaccum hoses, bypass n249 and then check the larger boost pipes, are there any prone to failing?

Can anyone post a correct 118 N75 Load log for me to compare mine to when i make the changes?

Could the MAF have an affect on the N75 values?

Cheers

Tim

118 n75 load shouldnt be above 90% ideally mate, simple as that, mines usually 88%.

MAF wont have an effect on n75, if your unsure, unplug maf and log block 118 again see if its any different :)

N75 is just near my shiny pipe with the three pipes comign off it

Thanks for that!

I'm assuming this is why the standard cupra i had a little play with a while ago was able to pretty much keep up with me.

A good thing to come out of this, is once it's sorted it will be quicker, haha!

yeah, youve got to remember, the way the standard car is mapped, they pull equally to the redline, mapped k03's usually tail off quickley, especially stg1 revo if not set up correctly. stage 2 is much better, or a progressive map.

Check whch n75 you have also, if the part number ends in a C, put an F on as the revo map is made for the F valve. holds boost longer

Ive seen many torque graphs from different cars, ive seen hude spikes which drop to about 60% of the power between 3-4krpm, mine doesnt have the huge kick, but pulls proigressivly and my graph is higher up top end, so the graph cross each other, depends on your driving style. I quite like the way a standard cupra feels :)

Being honest i would prefer something that pulled to redline, however the kick in the back REVO gives is great.

I like my cars to rev, infact i'm still getting used to where i shift, etc in the ibiza.

How much am i likely to pay for a replacement N75, can they be found on other cars? Do you reckon if i go and fill my pockets at my local wreckers i'll get a good one? :D

I go on holiday in a couple of weeks, then i have my insurance to pay at the end of June so i need to spend as little as possible thats all :(

Get an F valve, but only if need be :) I have had loads of problems with my car, n75 chance and it all of a sudden picked up

My C valve was dead
