According to the brochure, all Ibiza come with a steel spare unless you order a Cupra with the brake upgrade, then you get the 17" alloy wheels with an alloy spare.

Don't know if this is true or not, as I once had a Clio 172 that was supposed to have a steel spare but came with an alloy, needless to say I took it back and complained...just kidding..

Good News for me

:) I went to see the sales manager at AC seemed like the best way of getting something done. After waiting 20min to see him he checked my details on the computer. He said he remembers the car when it was in the show room so I'm thinking he knows what happened to the spare alloy. Any way he asked me 1 question then disappeared to the parts dept. came back and said you're in luck they have 1 in stock.

I'm pretty pleased and surprised they never tried to get out of giving me a free alloy which i shoulda had in the first place. Picking it up tomorrow with a tyre on it. but they want the steel spare back.

At least youve got a full set now.

Should you not keep the spare as that will be a spare now?

Either that or you wont have a spare to put on in an emergency. Just as justlivyalife says.

Theres no-way they expect you to use the knackered wheel do they?

not sure what the tool kit with the steel spare is like but worth checking you got the full tool kit thats sits nicely inside the spare alloy too?

I dont think its got a tyre on it because they came out to check the tyre size.

I'm planning on just using a steel as a spare, shouldnt cost much from a scrappy. I'm not gonna pay for an alloy to sit in my boot most of its life, when a steel will do the same job with a little effort.

I'll have the 5 alloys the cars meant to have but 1 is now buggered.

Whats the difference in tool kits?

Good luck getting a steel wheel to fit over the brakes...

I'll just do what I had to do this time. Put the steel on the back. If having to swap 2wheels around saves me £££'s buying a new alloy then I'll do it.

So after telling them its the wrong wheel they sent the parts man out to take a pic of the wheels on my car. yes you read that right. anyway when we got to the car he didn't need take a pic. Said he knew which 1 to order.

I told him make sure it comes with Pirelli's on it. I'll find out on Wednesday.
