long term throttle pressure drop out and fuel system running to lean

my cupra has been in and out of my local seat dealer for around 3 months now due to an engine mngt light issue.

The errors are always long term throttle pressure drop out and fuel system running to lean. When running the car it seems to hold back a lot and will then suddenly kick in, the revs also drop when the car is idle and it nearly stalls.

The garage have changed every valve within the turbo (more than once), have also changed the fuel filter, they are now going though and removing every piece of pipework from the engine and checking for damage.

Has the car had it or can anyone shed any light??

i had this problem, still have to a point. when the car tryed to stall it turned out to be the maf. had mine pluged into a super dupa computer that said the car suffered air pressure loss or along the lines of that. new maf= no probs, BUT it still holds back on throttle down. didnt know if it was turbo lag caused by heat soak???? is yours remaped???? if so maybe this could be the problem.

ive sold my leon to a guy and hes had this since the 2nd day and as you can imagine ive had nothing but greif!it happened to me a while back and had new turbo etc since then and all has been well till he had it now hes sayin some thing to do with the wastegate.someone must be able to shed some light on this although that light can be a number of things

Holding back issue sounds like my own car but I gave up trying to solve it and actually have it booked in with Awesome GTi on Wednesday for them to take a look.

Ironically its not too bad at the moment ...

They couldnt solve it mate... they checked everything that I had done myself and basically said it would need to go on the rolling road at a cost of £105+VAT per hour ...

oh right!i had a lengthy talk with the guy who bought my car and in the end to save hasle and sort it i gave him 400 quid back.ouch!,id be reluctant to sell my car privately after a month of phone calls....hope he sorts it but it seems there maybe a few cars with some weird fault.
what remap do you have btw??

I would have told him to do one mate... private cars are sold as seen and the problem was not there when you sold it.

Remap has been done by chi**ed uk.
