Got a nail in my tyre, so took it to the tyre place down the road for it to be repaired, whilst i was in there some pompus tw@ in his porsche was also having his tyre repaired.

Both got our bill at the same time, which obvioulsy was the same as it was the same job on both cars.

The tw@ passed comment that I should have bought a porsche as it cost the same.

I jokingly replied, "haha yeah, can swap if you like"

Idiot looked at me in disgust and said "No thanks"

So I looked back and said "Is it a boxster? if so you can keep it" (i could only see the front end, so couldnt tell if it was a carrera or boxster)

He went dead silent, and as he reversed out, lo and behold it was a boxster

Lol... I managed to "out-accelerate" a Porsche Carrera over the weekend...

Both overtaking the same car, and I had to brake to stop myself running into the back of him!! Was funny watching the spoiler pop-up...

The muppet then decided to cut some guy up on the roundabout...

He may have a point, I'll ring Kwik Fit and see if it costs the same to fix a puncture in a Bentley Continental GT, if so....... I'm having one !!!

I have just bought a pair of Goodyear GDS3's got a roofing bolt in the passenger side one the other day. If it can be repaired will it still be safe at the tyre's rated speed??

not sure about rated speed, i guess so as its ont any more likely to suffer a blow out than normal, just more likely to suffer a slow puncture i guess

I got a screw through the side tread of my new pirrelli a few months back. Was gutted when I saw it as I know they say they are not repairable in that position. Anyway showed the blokey and he said that they couldn't repair it, BUT I could send it away to their specialist depot where they can repair it and remould it somehow. Speed rating is Y and said it would be just like new. £25 it cost and took 3 days from dropping off to picking it back up.

agree, a poor mans porsche 2, rather have a s2000

Agreed, i'd rather be pushed around in a pram. An LCR will give a boxster a decent run for its money, especially if the porker's driver is w@nk.

A well balanced, rear wheel drive, mid engined 2 seater sports car, or a 5 door front wheel drive hatchback? I love my Leon to bits, but I think a few people need to take their head out of their back pocket as much as the Boxster driver in this example. They are a fine car, and can be hustled in standard drive down a twisty road or around a track a lot better than a lot of modified cars will ever manage.

Agree with the above comment............However for pure RWD fun (with the roof down) gotta be an S2000.

To be fair...... its more a pop at their owners....

Fair comment Spanky- but remember, behaviour breeds behaviour. Few people around here don't seem to do much to help loose the childish boy-racer image of a stereotypical hot hatch driver.
