Had my four injectors and wiring loom replaced today at Wayside Seat in Milton Keynes. Seat Customer care were very on the ball and everything was arranged smoothly.

If anyone else is booking theirs in, please be aware that Seat UK have issued an updated bulletin which means that additional parts need to be ordered in for the fitting. Please check that your dealer is aware of this, otherwise you'll get there and find you've got a 24hour wait for the parts.

Did Wayeside give you the Gutless Ibiza for the day?

Nah, no need. I work in Central MK so they gave me a lift to / from work instead :)

hi, not on here very, but recently been having problems with my 07 leon fr170. reading what most of you have said im worried mine might be having a similar problem. Runs rough ( lumpy) then cuts out but starts ok, then runs at 1000rpm 4 a while. had it checked and no fault codes are comming up. Please any ideas as im ready for driving off a cliff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took my car into seat today and they said there is a recall for the injectors. So take a trip to your local seat and get them checked

Just booked my car in for friday,my mrs uses it mainly for her journey to work and she mentioned it suddenly cutting out while driving every now and then but she got home today and said it happened 3 times today! She said it just loses all power and the red battery light comes on (while doing about 20mph in traffic) turns the key off then back on and it starts.Does that sound like the beginnings of an injector problem? Should of said its a 58 FR TDI

I don't think so mine stopped when accelerating and wouldn't restart. I had to be recovered. I had a similar scenario to what you describe when the intake flap valve failed.

Today I've had a phone call from Seat saying my car needs to be recalled as they've discovered an injection problem. One dealership told me not to drive the vehicle and get it booked in ASAp for the repair; the other told me it's fine to drive around. From what everyone is saying I think I'd prefer not drive it until it gets repair. Unfortunately it's gonig to take two days..
If you've got a Leon 2.0 170bhp i'd ring Seat and check

I'd echo that. After the earlier discussion I called Seat yesterday. I'm booked in for Tuesday and they've agreed to refund the cost of the originally replaced injector and cable harness.

went to seat today with my 08 leon FR to get my rattly boot fixed. i wasnt aware of an injector problem but he said they wanted to test my injectors or whatever to see if it was part of a recall. turns out it is. need to get 4 new injectors and a wiring loom apparently. he said if the injectors go faulty the car will need to be recovered.

the dealer is to get back to me with a date.

Mossy, also sounds like you could be experiencing an auto-regen, particularly when engine running a 1000rpm - have to taken it for a 'regen-run'?
Sometimes it needs this to help clean out the dpf - 10 to 15mins at 2000rpm in fourth or fifth - may not solve your problem, but will definitely help the dpf...

Well I took my car in today over the stalling issue which they said no fault codes could be found and just keep an eye on it but when my wife picked the car up they told her about the impending recall and that they had replaced the injectors :)
Must say it certainly put my mind at ease!

I am having a problem with mine got to point now it's driving me crazy.

Always stuttering like the power is not always there and it seems to struggle really bad to get to 80mph and above.
