Leon FR PD170 TDi Injector problem

Right Simon was on holiday i called him Monday, we already had test - clear of faults

I protested like crazy and we get 4 injectors BOSCH and harness fitted this Tuesday- Dealer phoned us said Simon been on with them, approved the work which they will do FOC but they wont do anything else other than what is agreed.

Courtesy car provided also

It was that simple. I emailed watchdog anyway cos the hush hush approach and dealer lottery on charging for injector tests is daft.

Thats what all of us want, Injectors and Loom replaced FOC


We dont want ECU Updates or anything else from them

i think the website idea is best. Its a worldwide issue and people are paying money for new injectors that should be free, dealers aren't helpful, its not an isolated incident either.

If we get a site up and get people to submit their injector failures when we get enough THEY WILL HAVE TO LISTEN

Vosa are a joke- claim its safe, no assisted brakes or steering if they go at speed ? ..... Yeah sure.

Otherwise it will take a "TOYOTA" incident before a recall is done

CAR MANUFACTURES SHOULD NOT PUT PEOPLE AT RISK BECAUSE OF "COSTS" INVOLVED IN A RECALL

I'm extending the warranty when it comes up. a few years left yet like but it's worth it if this is the extent of injector failures on the 2.0TDI CR engines.

I feel for you all having to fork out so much for a common fault.

The cr engines do not have this fault as far as im aware!

this is PD Engine thread nothing to do with the CR Mate

Thought the 2.0tdi was CR, thought the PD was only in 1.9? OK maybe i've hit lucky then.

I had the same problem few months ago, apparrently its a common fault on all the vag 2.0 deisel engines. Seat will play the innocent. Had to pay for all the repairs myself, 2 months out of warranty.

Thats what led me to believe it was on 2.0 TDI CR. like Jonny number 5 i guess i need more input.

This is all about the PD170, This does not affect the CR170

i have just bought a 2007 fr tdi 67k full history and really loving it but i am sh*ting it a bit now incase they go (say on the motorway at 70mph with my son & wife in the car & no steering or brakes) but vosa say ''NO SAFTEY ISSUE'' are they for f**king real so basicly they are saying cost before saftey?? JOKE. No way could i afford to replace them out of my own pocket plus we both use the car for work and cant be without it so why cant they say we will replace them before they do pack in?????

I know seat are replacing them as i spoke to my local dealer to find out if it had been in for the injectors & they said no but they did tell me if they go we will replace foc as its a known fault so ffs why not just do a recall like other dealers do with known faults.

i Would get in contact with SEAT UK mate! What ever you do though dont mention its already had one done by a non-Seat dealer just act dumb

Yeh was thinking that myself i only bought it 2 weeks ago who do i speak to there at seat uk? they will probably just say if they have'nt gone we cant do anything

Presuming it's the 140PD then no you won't.
