Hi Guys I’ve got the 2016 Diesel FR 184 it has been remapped, I’m just about to do some maintenance, change the oil, oil filter and air filter, but wondering if it’s worth just getting a genuine standard air filter or one of the more expensive air filters like the K&N & Pipercross filters that say they provide better air flow than the standard air filter. Just wondering is this true or just a gimmick, especially with the car being a Diesel does it make any difference, or can anyone recommend me a really good air filter for my car, thanks.

I got a K&N air filter after having a Revo remap, but felt no benefits and ended up changing back to the standard filter. Funnily enough, I was just thinking about giving the K&N filter another go!

Just get a standard good quality paper filter - either OE or one of the filter suppliers aftermarket panels. I look for either Mann, Purflux, Hengst or UFI for filters.
The TDI shares its filter with 2.0tsi! so if it can flow enough air for 300bhp it will be fine for your diesel!
OE number is 5Q0129620B

I’ve recently taken out my APR open air filter, and put the stock box and filter in.
