i had my renewal through from direct line this week £681 - 23, 3yrs ncb in what i think is a low/average risk postcode.

green light quoted me 770 but im concerned what direct line will say when i start modding, plus the excess is really high.

Im with Virgin. Paying £535 on a 2005 LCR 225. Hi excess though but you don't pay any extra for taking it over monthly payments. Try them. Im 25 with 4 years no claims.

As a member of the older generation I would advise "anyone" to try Direct Line but you must log on to their site (They do not normally show up on the popular insurance search web sites)

May not be good for the younger drivers but I would recommend anyone, young or old, to try them. Especially good if more than one car in the household is insured with them. My own son at 20 (2 years no claims) got his insurance reduced considerably because of multiple family car insurance with them.

Young or old. Try them!
