HI,

I'm really needing some good advice before my car suddenly finds itself burnt out down a deserted lane!!

I took the car to a local Seat dealer near Reading as I was getting some really loud screeching and grinding noises from the front especially when turning to the left. After paying out for an inspection the general view was the CV joint needed changing along with the track rod ends and possible roll bar bushes. Took car elsewhere as the cost to do the work was staggering. I had the CV joints changed and the noise went but came back a week later. Went back in to the garage and changed front wheel bearings, noise went away but again came back a week later. Now the noise is almost constant which ever way the wheels are turned, not brake pads noise is not on the engine. Can push clutch in when driving and the noise remains:censored: Any body care to recommend a decent garage in and around Reading / Berkshire area where I can take this heap of S**t before it meets its early demise.

Oh Santa where are you when I need you!!

Happy New Year,
Tintop

Hey

Thanks for your reply I didn't think of the steering pump  but its worth investigating. You did not say but has the noise now gone?
