Leon Cupra FR PD 150 TDi XR4i Evo Lada GT3 RS Rear Caliper Advice

Hello.

After some advice please... I'm in need of a rear caliper for the drivers side of my 2006 Mk1 1.9 tdi PD 150. Although they can't be seen in the picture, all four calipers on my car are red - painted by myself. Given that I need a new caliper and it will need to be red, my question is; are Cupra R rear calipers the same as on the FR / early Cupra 150 / 180's...? If they are, then I will go with a Cupra R cailper which will already be red. But if not, I'll get a standard silver one and paint it - again!

If anyone does happen to have the correct caliper that I need - without the sticking handbrake linkage - please let me know.

Hope this all makes some sort of sense! Thanks in advance for your help.

Warm regards,

Paul.

P.S, what's the proper colour of my car please...?

Rear calipers are either 232mm 9mm solid (calipers have a ribbed top) or 256mm 22mm vented (calipers are solid and beefy), depending on spec in the factory but usually the 9mm versions.

Cupra R comes with 256mm versions.

Places like The VAG Yard, maybe Thaiwronghorse on here are the go to places really.

Cupra R ones won't fit. They don't do a red one for the non-R, but they are easy to find and buy new. TRW and Pagid both make them.

I've found new ones in red, but they list 38mm or 41mm piston sizes. They list VIN's for cross reference, but the number is the same for both calipers so it's useless! Would you know what size piston I'd need? Thank you.
