I replaced my N75F with a new N75F. As an experiment I put the old one back on and had a play with the adjustment, I could adjust out the hesitation, but this was also backing the boost right off, making the car run pretty much as it did before the remap. Adjusting back the other way to bypass the wastegate further increased power/boost, but also the hesitation.

After a few adjustments something really went wrong with the N75 and no matter where I set it, the performance was very poor, with a maximum boost of about 3 psi. I then refitted the new N75F and it was instantly back to normal again.
N75s tend to f-ck up if you adjust them.

I haven't read this thread for a while, I'm assuming you're all still none the wiser re. the fluctuating boost problem?

I notice people are talking about hesitation and problems at low revs, this is obviously a completely different issue to the fluctuation under high load and this thread is getting a bit confusing.

My old N75 cerntainly f-cked up when adjusted.

There don't seem to be any definate answers to the problem. These engines are like women, sometimes they great, othertimes a complete nightmare.

Mine is does not hesitate at high revs, although if the power is down it will be across the whole rev range.

I've been saying that for a while, two different problems if you ask me.

So confusing, I've mainly been avoiding this thread.

so for the low revs problem we can refer to my thread to discuss issues and those of you who have the high rev problem continue here or open another to avoid confusing anyone else

my car is doing the same at high revs(3,4,5&6) only got a k&n filter and a remap...engine management light comes on too.lambda probe is new and now its saying its faulty again!?cant be surely!

i noticed my car doing it really badly this evening at low revs when cold, seemed better once up to temperature tho.

Your posting in the wrong thread (should've started your own).

But - have you plugged the MAF back in? If you have, you've either damaged the MAF by knocking it, or damaged the wires on the connector.

After alot of messing around trying to locate the cause for loss of power and hesitation under acceleration, I have finally solved the mystery. This is on an AUM engine which is identical to the AUQ (180bhp), so not sure if it will apply to LCRs. Having repaired and re-fitted the hose and driven it for a couple of days, the hesitation has gone, full power has returned and the fuel consumption is alot better according to the the MFI.

The rubber hose has rotted due to oil and ruptured under boost. This hose will see full boost pressure.

well just took the metal plate from above this area off as much as i could with time and tool restraints! and this pipe is absolutly fine from looking in and feeling the back of it

Did you slide the rubber band up to make sure its ok within that area too? I didn't see the damage until I pretty much removed the hose. If there is oil around that area I'd investigate more, if not there's probably no leak. It was the light coating of oil that made me look at this area in more depth.

In the 1st photo I was flexing the pipe to show the damage, when I let go the rubber returned to it's original shape.

i had similar to this but my breather hose came off the top of the engine and went to the tip , was soft as putty and split underneath .changed pipe and the car was much better (not perfect) but better so now i will look at the other one you have shown and see what happens

My breather was split when I got the car, as you say soft as putty. I replaced that straight away.

The car is a 2002 model, so after 5 years they were both shot.

should be in the post fully blown
by the way i found a simular thing with my hose so i have tapped it up for now but ddont honestly beleive it is bad enough tobe causing any problems as it looks surface only
